31 WeeKs!

How far along? 31 WeeKs! I'm into the single digit countdown!

Size of baby: Baby E is the size of a pineapple!

At 31 weeks, all of baby's five senses are working. Plus, he's going through major brain and nerve development.

Total weight gain: I'm up to 151lbs. Although usually when I go to the doctor we use the digital scale, but I was in a different room this time and she used the slidy scale. I was so excited because she put 150 up and it was too heavy. Then she put it down to 100lbs and moved the ones over to 149 and it was too light. Not sure how she got 151 from there...but I'm thinking more like 150 even. So that puts me at 27lbs in total weight gain.

Maternity clothes? Pants unzipped, belly bands, a few maternity shirts, lots of maxi skirts that my mom made me.
Stretch marks? No. I double checked and I had Kyle check too! My mom got me new belly balm and I used it yesterday. It smells great and is way easier than cutting open vitamin E capsules.

Sleep: Waking up to pee around 1:45, 4:30, and then up between 6:45 and 7:30 seems to be the pattern. I wonder if that's when Maverick will wake up to eat?! Once I'm asleep, I'm sleeping good though.

Best moment this week: Putting all of the baby clothes, toys, and essentials away in an organized manner at my mom's house. I guess that will be my way of nesting since I'm going to be homeless!! (Ugh!)

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not that I've come across.

Gender: It's a MAVERICK!! lol Boy.Boy.Boy.Boy.Boy.

Belly Button in or out? Can we call it a flatie? Sometimes the top still sticks out, sometimes it doesn't. Twice this week people that saw me said, "Oh how cute, your belly button already popped out!" I wanted to slap them. It's only the top half people and it's only sometimes!

Miss Anything? I'm starting to miss being pregnant already! I know it's coming to an end and I can't wait to meet Maverick, but it's making me think about not being pregnant anymore.

Food cravings: No real strong cravings. Still hungry all the time.

Labor Signs: x

30 Week Symptoms: Straight from thebump.com
I haven't been constipated per se, but I'm definitely not using the bathroom regularly. I think that has to do with some of my weight gain! No uncomfortableness, but just thought I'd report it anyways.

Happy or Moody? Oh so over the moon excited and happy! (Highly irritable when things don't go my way and I had an extremely selfish bratty moment this week, but what else is new?!)

Looking forward to: Seeing all of my Gainesville friends this weekend, celebrating Kyle's birthday with Maverick, and my baby shower at Las Margaritas!! Wooowhooo!! :) :) Exciting, exciting.

30 WEekS!

How far along? 30 weeks! 10 more to go. O.M.G.

Size of baby: Baby E is the size of a cucumber!

At 30 weeks, he’s not just moving a lot, he’s also plumping up. And as he continues to put pressure on my digestive system, I should feel the effects!

Total weight gain: Doctor tomorrow! I'm hoping I'm still under 150. Cross your fingers.

Maternity clothes? Just shirts still. Belly bands. My regular pants, unzipped.
Stretch marks? Nope. I even looked in the mirror to check out the places I can't see.

Sleep: Depends on the bed I'm in and how many pillows are surrounding me. The more the better! Can't complain though.

Best moment this week:My first baby shower! Let the holiday season begin... baby showers, Thanksgiving, birthdays, Christmas. I think these last 10 weeks are going to FLY by!

Anything making you queasy or sick: No sir.

Gender: Wittle Baby Boy.

Belly Button in or out?It was well behaved this week. Stayed flat. All I can say is it's NOT an outie. What you call it is up to you.

Miss Anything? I'm a little bit missing losing weight, but I feel great and am SO EXCITED that it's the least of my worries! Plus people keep telling me how great I look. So, whether they are lying or not, keep the compliments coming ;) LOL

Food cravings: uh huh. I'm craving food. period.

Labor Signs: N.O.

30 Week Symptoms: Straight from thebump.com
  • Heartburn, which might be making sleep hard to come by. I can feel traces of it, but not really.
  • Swelling -- it's totally normal, as long as it's not sudden or severe. 2 days this week my shoes go tight, so I'm going to say yes--in my feet. But it went away fairly quickly.
  • General discomfort, thanks to your big belly. sometimes.
  • Shortness of breath. Those lungs just keep getting more crowded, right? No, surprisingly. That's a pretty normal thing for me though so maybe I just don't notice it anymore.
  • Trouble sleeping, which leads to another issue: Fatigue. Not really. Yay for that! I do want to usually go to bed around 9 or 10, but when you wake up between 5 and 6am I'm not sure that's abnormal or due to the pregnancy.
  • Weird, vivid dreams. One word (a familiar one): Hormones. No?! But I'll keep you updated.

Happy or Moody?I got a little cranky this week, but overall H.A.P.P.Y!! I lOVE being pregnant :) :)

Looking forward to: Getting all of these baby things put somewhere besides behind my head board and in the corner. But watching it pile up is SO SO SO EXCITING. I also can't wait until my doctor's appointment tomorrow and all of the upcoming events we have going on! eeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkk!

29 weEkS

How far along? 29 weeks?!? Holy moly... 11 to go.

Size of baby: Baby E is the size of an acorn squash!

Baby already measures about 15.2 to 16.7 inches long. Right now, we weighs about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds but he's still got a ways to go -- can you believe he'll triple in weight before birth?

Total weight gain: Sticking with 147.4 as the total right now. Next dr appointment (and update on the weight gain) will be next Friday.

Maternity clothes? Still just shirts :) I'm starting to look pregnant all the time. A lot of my normal shirts are getting too short! haha oy.
Stretch marks? Not that I can see!

Sleep: Mostly I've been sleeping great! :) Monday I went to Monday Night Football, went to sleep at 1:15am and got up at 5:30am. I wasn't even tired all day. I think I'm getting used to a little bit of sleep. That's a good sign.

Best moment this week:Watching all the RSVPs come in for the baby showers. I can't wait to see everybody!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not one single thing.

Gender: El Nino.

Belly Button in or out? You tell me...

The top half is kind of out and the bottom is in?! Idk? both?

Miss Anything? Just the ease of shaving and bending over without having to take a big breath.

Food cravings: Food. Food. and MORE food.

Labor Signs: Nope.

29 Week Symptoms: Straight from thebump.com
  • Lots of kicks! (All that crowding.) Oh yeah!! I love it!
  • Headaches and/or lightheadedness, possibly due to difficulty sleeping, but it could be from low blood sugar too, so make sure you're eating at regular intervals. Nope. I've had less headaches since I've been pregnant! Hallelujah for that!
  • Itchy belly. Your skin is stretching thinner, making it more sensitive. Uhh...YES. Especially at night after I've been wearing my belly band all day.
  • Back, leg or pelvic pain. No.
  • Hemorrhoids. Baby's putting pressure on your digestive system, and hormones may be relaxing your intestinal muscles. Eat plenty of fiber. EW. No.
  • Constipation. This isn't really helping the hemorrhoid situation, is it? Double EW!
  • Trouble sleeping -- still! Not this girl.
  • Gotta pee -- again! The more your uterus expands, the more you'll probably have to hit the restroom.Yeah...not as much as you'd think. But a lot.
  • Varicose veins. Don't worry! These should fade after delivery. Not that I've seen. Hopefully never.

Happy or Moody? SOOO excited and happy! :)

Looking forward to: OMG everything. I can't wait to meet Maverick. I can't wait for the baby showers. I just can't freaking wait!!

28 WEEKS!

How far along? 28 weeks! Where has the time gone?!

Size of baby: Baby E is the size of an eggplant!

Putting on layers of fat, your baby now weighs in around 1.5 to 2.5 pounds and measures about 13.6 to 14.8 inches.

Total weight gain: A whopping 147.4 lbs for this momma and baby. I've gained a total of 24 lbs. My goal is to try to keep it to a pound a week at most from here on out. The hunger is killing me this week though. YIKES!

Maternity clothes? No pants, just shirts. Still having a hard time picking out shirts in the morning though.
Stretch marks? No, no, no, Jack!

Sleep: I have been sleeping great! Wedging myself between two body pillows has been wonderful. Still peeing in the middle of the night once in awhile.

Best moment this week: Kyle read a book to Maverick before we went to sleep the other night. The doctor's appointment was kind of exciting too. I am starting to go every two weeks now. That makes it really real!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.

Gender: B.O.Y.

Belly Button in or out? The top half isn't cooperating and likes to try to poke out now and then. The bottom half is a good listener and still in all the time.

Miss Anything? Yes. Shaving easily. My legs are still do able but I have to take a deep breath before I bend over. Other parts of my body...not so easy.

Food cravings: Just food. All the time. I've been craving things that are cold...tomatoes, sushi, salad, etc.

Labor Signs: No. But I should brush up on my Braxton Hicks signs just in case.

28 Week Symptoms: Straight from thebump.com
  • Trouble sleeping. As you get closer to your due date, you'll likely have more and more trouble with this. It could be hormones or nerves -- or both! Not yet.
  • Shortness of breath, as baby continues to crowd your lungs. Sometimes. I'm pretty used to this. Anybody that knows me can vouch for my famous saying of, "I can't breathe!!"
  • Aches and pains -- the third trimester can be really uncomfortable due to hormone fluctuations and the toll on your body. Not yet.
  • Braxton Hicks contractions -- these might be getting stronger or more frequent as your bod gets ready for labor. No, but this is what made me think I should read up on the differences.
  • Leaky boobs. Your breasts may already be producing baby's first food, a yellowish substance called colostrum. Uhh...NO?! Great...The joys of being a mom. Oh boy.

Happy or Moody? So so so so happy.

Looking forward to: Lots of things...one that I can't quite spill yet...but stay tuned! I can't wait until Nov. 20th to see lots of my friends that I haven't seen in a long time and celebrate Maverick being even closer to real life.
